Rangefinder Binoculars

The LEICA VECTOR™ is a modern high performance binocular. It combines outstanding optics with distance and angle measurement functions. LEICA VECTOR™ is the instrument which allows you to”point and click“ to determine the position and dimensions of inaccessible objects in the fi eld, locate targets, etc. LEICA VECTOR is four instruments in one:

  • Binoculars - Superb optics in robust, water-tight, rubber armored housing.
  • Laser Rangefi nder - Measures from 5m up to 12 km, depending on model, visibility and nature of target object.
  • Digital Compass - Displays magnetic azimuth or grid azimuth in degrees, gonor mils.
  • Inclinometer - Displays vertical angles between –35 to +35 degrees.

Wireless Data acquisition

Measured data is displayed in the field of view and can be wirelessly transmitted using Bluetooth technology from the LEICA VECTOR to a computer or data terminal. A Bluetooth connection between the LEICA VECTOR and the computer will be established by a click on the LEICA VECTOR and data will be transmitted. Most applications where the LEICA VECTOR is being used will benefit from Bluetooth technology.

Bluetooth requirements

Vectronix has integrated the connectBlue OEM Serial Port Adapter in their LEICA VECTOR. It enables a wireless Bluetooth link to a handheld computer, PDA. The Serial Port Adapter module is simply integrated and connected to the existing RS232 interface of the LEICA VECTOR and emulates the RS232 cable previously used.

The proven quality of the Serial Port Adapter provides a reliable solution to the system transfer measuring data from the VECTOR to the PDA.

As the Serial Port Adapter has undergone the Bluetooth Qualifi cation Program and Type Approval, there are no additional approvals or certifications need
