2000 - connectBlue Established

• Establishes connectBlue AB on March 27th and operation starts in July
• Bluetooth SIG member as of June 
• Employees have expertise in industrial demands and wireless technologies from the start

2001 - Birth of Industrial Bluetooth

• Launched the world's first industrial Bluetooth product
• The product compatibility strategy born in April
• ABB shows Bluetooth based process I/O at Interkama, Düsseldorf, in September
• Phoenix Contact shows Ethernet cable replacement at SPS/IPC/Drives in November

2002 - Bluetooth Generation 2

• Launch of Bluetooth Serial Port Adapter generation 2  - became a best seller
• Developed the "embedded communication interface" - became the standard in Infineon's Bluetooth solutions

2003 - Bluetooth in Medical

• World's first FDA-approved Bluetooth medical device

2004 – First Real-time Wireless I/O

• World's first industrial real-time Wireless IO-system
• Bluetooth easy pairing/configuration with ID plug patent by connectBlue

2005 - Bluetooth Generation 3

• Close partnership with Philips/NXP on Bluetooth, Wireless LAN and NFC
• Launch of Bluetooth Serial Port Adapter generation 3 - modular, backwards compatible design
• Launch of the Bluetooth AP generation 2
  

2006 – Wireless LAN & ZigBee

• Launched the first Wireless LAN (WLAN) products – IEEE 802.11 b/g

2007 – US Office Opens

• World's smallest Wireless LAN all-in-one module
• connectBlue North America established in Chicago, USA

2008 – Intense Development

• Launch of first generation IEEE 802.15.4 / ZigBee products
• Heavily involved in the Bluetooth SIG technology development:

2010 – 10 Years of Wireless Innovation

• Launch of high performing 1.2km long range Bluetooth module

• Launch of dual-band (2.4 / 5 GHz) version of the Ethernet Port Adapter
• Launch of a Dual-band Wireless LAN Serial Port Adapter with Enterprise Security

2011 – Global Expansion

• Publication of case studies in tough applications
• Presented seamless roaming and redundancy in Wireless LAN
• Increased focus in the medical segment and hiring of medical wireless expert Bill Saltsztein
• Strengthened global organization with Bill Saltsztein appointed as President of connectBlue Inc. and Pelle Svensson appointed as APAC Business Development Director
• Launched Bluetooth low energy ready module and announced a Bluetooth low Energy solution for blood banks
