Based on wireless technologies Bluetooth, Wireless LAN/WLAN (IEEE 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n) and IEEE 802.15.4 (ZigBee), connectBlue provides demanding industrial applications with serial cable replacement, wireless IO (I/O) and wireless Ethernet solutions in the form of ready-to-embed wireless OEM modules, ready-to-use wireless devices and custom design solutions such as wireless engineering.

connectBlue was founded in 2000 by Rolf Nilsson. From years of experience within the industrial automation industry (ABB, Alfa Laval, SATT Control) he envisioned the future demand for reliable, cost-efficient industrial wireless systems. Rolf quickly brought on pioneers of Bluetooth technology which was the wireless technology with the greatest leverage in 2000. Experience told them to focus on a few key requirements: Compatibility, extended life cycles and performance. Still today, these requirements are the focus of the connectBlue delivery.
